Herbert Eichholzer´s (1903 – 1943) only multi-family residence in Graz was built in 1934. In 2009 and 2010, we completely renovated the building and restored it to its original state – complete with the classical elements of modern architecture. To avoid altering the façade of the protected building, we demolished the existing gabled roof, insulated the upper floor accordingly and, therefore, could achieve the most favourable energy consumption rates.
A reconstructed, two-story roof construction, as well as the placement of a detached lift tower in the courtyard, completed the measures of renovation and reconstruction.
